am a 14 year old indian girl and i just shifted to LA 3 months ago.this is my first time abroad.i have been speaking english since birth so i don't have a communication problem. i also have the correct accent.
i started my sophomore year in a high school and well on my first day before going to my classes i was attending my locker when this guy just comes along and gives me 3 pats on my butt saying "hey what a cute ass you should not be wearing those pants" i never got such a comment before so i lost my temper and slapped him really hard saying"how dare you do that" it was just then that he kissed me forcefully infront in front of so many other students.
this was my first kiss and it went to such a jerk i gave him another slap and a punch and pushed him away. then he asked me if it was the first time i kiss. i without a though said yes and just then he and everyone around him started laughing. then he said to me "aren't you an innocent little pure bud" yes i am a virgin and i've never had a boyfriend or been on a date or had any sexual acts.
ever since then its been like popular girls come around and make fun of me and call me an orient. actually i doesn't bother me what they say to me cause i believe high school is the time one should focus on their career building. there plenty of time to have fun once you have a ground under your feet.
i only have two friends who too like me get picked on. they call us the geeky sisters. but is doesn't matter what the crap they say or spread about me. i have my morals and i am not going to ruin them.
i told my mom about the that very act of that boy on my 1st day and she launch a complain to one of my teachers.
he got a warning but now its like they think of every way possible to pick on me. it's like he won't leave me alone he also sweared the he will be my first time just like he was my first kiss.
he is very popular( a junior) and i heard that he has slept with 12 different girls. he told me that he can get any girl to sleep with him and i am no exception. i told him loud and clear that my parent have done a good job in raising me and i will never disgrace them by going against my morals. it was all okey until he and his popular group abused my parents, my culture and my country.
i completely lost it upon hearing all that and i just decided to leave just then he, his name is Squall by the way, he forcefully kissed me again and touched my breasts, hips, butt and even forced his hands up my shirt.
i bit his lips and pushed him away and ran from that place.
now am really scared to go to school, i mean i just wannted to study hard (i had always been a good student back in india) and i was doing pretty good here too but am scared that i might get raped i want to tell my mom but she in india working on her transfer and will be back after 2 months my parents are already having a hard time trying to adjust in a forien country and i don't want to worry them more.
but the way teenagers act at sckool i mean they smoke, take drugs,drink,have sex and mank your life hell if you don't do the same!!.
is it necessary to have sex and all that other stuff to be popular. its not like i want to be popular espesially if thats what one must do for it.
and that guy squall why is he after an orient old fashioned girl like me? he's soo popular he can get any girl to sleep with him!
the way he everyday looks at me comes around saying things like "your mine i'll have you, i'll give you and you'll love it"he also said that" slap me against please at least it's worth your sweet touch". he makes me sooo mad!!
i ignore him and avoid him as much as possible but then he somehow got my cell no. and texts me saying "your so beautiful why hide yourself with cloths?" and all because of him i always have to keep my phone off. i don't want my parents to lose faith in me . i want to be a good girl. i heard that he broke up with his recent girlfriend and she thinks i am the reason behind it so she too comes along abusing me.
i have never faced somthing like this back in india, everyone over there is so into school work and studies.
they call me a nerdy orient looser sucker.
like i said it doesn't bother what they say to me but now they have also started abusing my country saying that is a backward, undeveloped black country!
and Squall well he comes around smirks at me, sometimes push me against the wall and whispers things coming real close to my face as i could feel his breath on my lips.
what can i do??? pleas pleas help me!!! i don't think i can go to school like this i might just get raped!!oh please tell me what i must do!!
Answer WOW. i am so sincerely sorry that you moved to our country and this is how you get treated, please, please please, do not think this is the norm. It is not normal for any guy to do this to a girl in our country, its sick and digusting and im sorry you are being treated this way. First off, don't delete any of the texts that he sends you or any of the phone calls. I'm not quite sure how things do work in India, so pardon me if anything i say offends you, but in this country what he is doing is considered sexual assault and harassment. OKay so like i said, do not delete any of the texts or calls off of your phone, you will probably need them. Also, get a journal and right down everything you remember about every time he said something offensive to you, touched you, tried to kiss you, etc. Try to remember the dates and what he said where he touched you, what you did, this is very important. Okay, so i found this California state law:
The Sex Equity in Education Act of California’s Educational Equity Laws prohibits sex discrimination, including sexual harassment, in any California academic, athletic, extracurricular, research or financial aid program that receives state money. The California Sex Equity in Education Act requires that educational institutions of the state have a written policy on sexual harassment that is distributed to students, faculty, and parents. This statement must include information on where to obtain the specific rules and procedures for reporting charges of sexual harassment and for pursuing available remedies.
so what i want you to do is go to the office of your school and ask for a hand book if they havent already given you one. The whole thing about sexual harassment should be in there. According to state law, it should tell you how to report sexual harassment. If it is not in there, then i would suggest going to a teacher that you know and respect. I know its not going to be easy to say something like this to a teacher, but i think that this is definitely the best way of going about it. Tell that teacher you want to report it to higher authority, but that you are unsure of how to do it. He or she should be willing to help you. Now, i think that the day you do those two things should be the one day you go to school before this is taken care of. After that dont go to school anymore, until your mom comes back or until the school contacts you about the sexual harassment case. Explain to that teacher that you are very scared to go to school and that your mother isnt home. The teacher and school should take immediate action against him. IF they dont be sure to message me back and i'll help you as much as possible with what to do next. Message back about anything new that develops with this that you need help with, ill be sure to help you.
Also, i really do want you to know that although things definitely definitely definitely vary from school to school, there is NO school where you should be expected have sex with this guy to be cool. Actually where i come from, you would have been called really really cool for slapping and punching this guy. Im really proud of that, that you stood up for what you believe in, and continue too, a lot of high schoolers in America lack that ability.. are too scared of what people will think of them, and thats just wrong. You're a very strong woman, i envy that. And i regret to inform you that in America, at least to most students, high school is way less about building a career and a life, than it is about beauty, sex, drugs, popularity and alcohol. I too believe, like you, that it is a great opportunity given to us to start off a wonderful and prosperous career and life, but so many american students fail to see that until after its too late. Also, sadly, for some reason it has become cool to lose your virginity at thirteen years old. I think its disgusting. so i realize that american high school is maybe not what you had hoped or thought it would be. But if you really want to go to high school to build a career and skip the drama then i can make a few suggestions. Im not quite sure what they have in california but in washington my school district has an online program. Talk to your counselor at your school and see if that is available or possible. You can take and finish classes as fast as you want online, but the downside is that they dont offer very many electives. Another option in my state is called running start. In your state if it exists it may be called something different like jumpstart, headstart, etc. What it is is that you take a test (in my state its called the compass test) and if you pass that test you can go to a community college and take classes that will qualify for your high school credits and some college credits. Ask your counselor if you guys have a similar program.
