hi.
i had this guy friend and we were every close. but it was weird that one day we talked and talked and talked but the next day he soo quite completely avoided me.
it wondered why he did that to me. actually you see he has been giving me signals ever since 7th grade of liking me. he kept teasing me flirting with me and was almost gonna tell me but hesitated. i knew he liked me but at that time i did not have feelings for him i mean his likes were sooo different from mine. but at the end of 8th grade i sort of started liking him too cause we had been close for 2yrs and all. one evening we talked a lot while we were playing chess.he was trying to push himself towards me and kept touching my hand. i was almost gonna tell him but then i had to leave so i decided to tell him the next day.

but since the next day,he's completely avoiding me. i mean completely. i mean if i meet him in the hall he just walks by me without a word and gives my a short share.
hes become friends with a lot of other popular girls and he flirts with them infront of me. its been more than a year that we didn't talk.(am in 10th grade now, so is he). hes in my french class but he never looks at me, or sit with me or even say hi to me. i don't know what i did to make him act this way. am over my crush on him and am sure he no longer likes me. but i would like us to be friends cause i had such a good time with him.i don't feel jealous anymore when i see him flirt with someone else. do you think it could be because i before back in 8th grade i was really popular and a lot of guys liked me but just before starting high school i got chicken pox and my face was covered with scars and i also started getting a lot of pimples. am not as popular as i was but that doesn't bother me cause i wanted to concentrate on my studies. now am in 10th grade and all my scars and pimple have faded finally after having them for the whole 9th grade.

could the change in my appearance have caused this change of attitude in him. i think we could have been together. i just want to know why he is avoiding me. could you please help!!

Well it seems like he maybe just got sick of waiting for you.  Maybe the chess game was the last straw.  But I think you should talk to him.  If not about that at first, then just go up and ask him how he is.  Say you miss hanging out and want to see him again.  If you start hanging out again, then ask him why he started avoiding you.
