About Dan
Expertise
Being a senior in high school, I have been through it all. High school's been the best and worst years of my life. I can answer anything from relationship problems to self image issues. I have been to many schools and I know how hard it is to make friends and want nothing more than to be accepted. I've learned patience and acceptance and I just want to help you guys out in any way I can =) Ask away!

Experience
I have been a camp counselor several times in the past. Whenever some of the kids I was looking after had a problem they came to me to help work it out.

Organizations
Not really religious, but I help out the community church down the road by playing saxophone and piano for them whenever they put on a production.

Education/Credentials
I'm a senior in high school and therefore have first hand knowledge of the subject.

Awards and Honors
I'm an Honor Role student and I received the top academic award for my grade last year (the Dux award).

Question
Hey! :)
I asked a question earlier too..haha now its academic.  So I'm a freshman this year in highschool and I was wondering, is it better to be in several clubs or to stick to one club and be and officer and all that jazz ( which one looks better on college apps)  and also, how many community service hours do you need in highschool? Is there a mandatory amount you need every year or is it accumulative?
        Thanks! :)

Answer
Hey

Well on a college app I've always heard that the more clubs the better, with some exceptions.  Obviously head of the football team would look better than just being a hall monitor and on the chess team (even though they're two separate things).  Mostly, you should just do what you like to do and what you enjoy.  Try out as many clubs as you can because it helps you decide what you want to do.  Maybe you'll even surprise yourself with something new you never imagined you'd be interested in.  As for the community hours, I'm sorry I have no idea.  I know at our school it wasn't even mandatory to do it but I went to school in NZ and I have no idea about other countries.  I'd recommend asking your counselor or even just a teacher.

Best of luck!
Dan
