Question HI,
We are running an ISP in Iran, let's talk about the configuration of our ISp then ask my question:
We have 3 servers (2 Remote access servers running NT server and cache server running linux red hat) and 88 telephone lines and modems which our users can connect to our network and then through the internet via them...
We send and recieve data via sattelite--->router--->local network
We have setup a billing software on one of our remote access servers in order to add different users with different internet services and also many options to monitor and track our users and their ports...
But recently we have found a problem that some of our accounts are used illegally by some people(let's name them HACKERS)we realized one hacker who uses some of our internet accounts...we can see it's computer name, IP and account that he misuses through our billing software,But we can't identify his phone number to punish him/her!
THE QUESTIONS ARE:
IS THERE ANY SOFTWARE TO SHOW OUR USERS PROFILES SUCH AS PHONE NUMBER AND ETC...)?
If yes on which servers we should install it?
WHAT ABOUT THE HARDWARE?
ANY WAY TO IDENTIFY HIM OR HER?
SOME SOLUTION TO PREVENT THESE KIND OF ATTACKS?
Waiting for your response.
Thanks a million!
Answer Yea, sorry...I am not a network engineer, nor have I set up networks or management software for ISPs. I have consulted with Fortune 500's on best practices for their bandwidth/network structure, but have not implemented and/or administered them.
