Question
I have heard about a new ADSL technology called stingers. I hear that they expand the range that you can be from a wire station to recieve ADSL service. What is this technology and what range does it provide? Thanks a lot.

Answer
Stingers are currently being deployed by Sprint, Covad and a few other providers, but it is not a mainstream technology as of yet.

IDSL is a current technology extended the range from the nearest CO from 18,000ft. to 36,000ft., but only at top speeds of 128k x 128k.

If you like, send me your address and first six numbers of your phone number, and I can check every possible provider to see what is available.

You might also want to check Hughes DirectWay satellite product. This product just needs line of sight to the southern sky.

Hope this helped.
