About Summer Summer Lei Shidler Expertise I have been watching both Highlander: The Series and Forever Knight since they began airing. I have every episode of both series on tape, and have watched them more times than I can count. I know the history of most of the characters and I have the Watcher Chronicles CD in two versions, so anything I don`t know offhand, I can look up. I can answer questions about plots, characters, episodes and some cast members.
Question I own all the seasons of Highlander the series on DVD, including season 6 which I purchased from the official website (www.highlander-official.com)
but looking a @ other sites DVD talk, Amazon etc... the official release date for the season 6 DVD's is February the 8th... I got my 6 season copy a few weeks ago, heck I've watched it all already... do you know why I have it if its not released to Amazon and the like yet, Also my copy is a copper/red color (a lot like season 4) and the picture on Amazon is yellow? is there a difference between these releases besides color? Can you explain the discrepancy between the February release and me already having my copy?
Answer While I can't speak for the producers, my guess is that, like many shows, the DVD sixth season of Highlander was made available to fans through the official site in advance of the release date. Also, many retailers have the stock on hand, but are legally bound not to sell a product before the official release date (Halo 2 retailers got slammed for this). I wouldn't worry about the discrepancy, just consider yourself one of the privileged few who got an early look.
