The Kurgan culture is also linked with the Genetic Haplogroup R1a1 (M17) and is the diagnostic Indo-Iranian marker according to research conducted by Spencer Wells and other highly noted international research groups. (Genographic Project).

They are said to be inter-related with the Scythian nomads that romaed from Eastern Europe, Central Asia, South/Central Asia, and as far as Siberia.

Their descendants live today in the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Russia, Central Asian Republics, including Afghanistan and Northern Pakistan.

You should look up the word Kagan which is the king of the Kazzars/Khazars which became the Cossacks and the Ashkenazi (The Khazars converted en masse to Judaism in around the 9th century to avoid being taken over by either the Christians or Muslims).  The Kagan was the name of the king and these people were also well known for their blood-thirsty cruelty.  The Khazar empire was the largest empire on earth after the Roman empire but there is little in school books about it.  It was located at the steppes of Russia.  After the Mongols invaded they pushed them west into Poland, Russia and the Germanic areas.

I can answer most questions about the show, the actors and characters. I also run a collection of over 1600 highlander links and I`ve carefully gone through all of them. If I don`t know something off the top of my head, I usually know where to find it. I`ve watched Highlander since 1992 when it started, and I`ve been on the internet for a year and a half. In that time I`ve visited many of the HL pages out there. As for the show, I`ve watched every episode several times and I belong to a trivia group that over the past year has covered even the most obscure facts about the show
