Question Im a backpacker looking to buy a water filter for a decent price and was wondering what names you would recommend or that you have used and worked well. Also if it could be fairly simple to use that is a plus!

You don't say where you are from (not all brands are available in all regions) or where you intend to use it (you may need different filters for filtering water in different regions). I've only traveled in regions where we could buy bottled water so unfortunately I can't offer any advice in this area other than to find a reputable store and ask their advice.
