Hey, Mike.  About 5 or 10 years ago I read an article about 5 different mountain hikes in Alaska.  All of the hikes could be completed in a day and the scenery is said to be the best in Alaska.  Although the hikes were relatively easy, there was a club you could join if you completed all 5 hikes.  As I recall 2 or 3 of the hikes started close to Juneau or another large city.  Any help you can give me to find out more about this?  Thanks so much.  Jane

 You've probably tried what I tried, and that was to search for varieties on "five hikes Alaska club day hike" and so on.  No luck. Well, there were a zillion hits but nothing obvious.

 So, what magazine might you have seen this in?  If you can recall that then either the article might be online through that magazine's website or someone there might be able to help you.

 That's about all that I can come up with at the moment.  If you have more hints please let me know.  And good luck!  Sorry to not be much help.
