3000 miles away from where I live in N. Louisiana I purchased only 1 yr ago 160 acres of land on (next to) the Bella Coola River in BC Canada %26 i'm having a basic (no pwr) 12'X20' cabin being built. Cabin is river access only. I'm 59 %26 my wife has absolutely no interest in going. I was there last aug 2009 but after several days, it was crazy lonely being alone. Great salmon fishing. Trying to find folks interested in joining me male %26 femals including couples. Has outhouse under const. too. it's wilderness so check out bella coola %26 Youtube. I have lots of images on my facebook. NOTE it's Bear Country %26 is was scared at time alone, or just about every night, but I'd do it again. Thanks!
Answer Of course this isn't really a question, but that's ok.
It was the last book my dad ever read and he loved it.
Would you ever rent the cabin? That might work out for you if you picked the right travelers.
I completely understand why you'd do it, but I tend to not get lonely in the wilderness. I am afraid of grizzly bears but have been around them in Montana and Canada and managed to sleep ok in my little tent.
There are many YouTube videos of "Bella Coola". I need a more specific link. I live in the drizzle of the Pacific Northwest so would probably prefer a cabin more up near the Rockies in Canada where it's a little more dry and sunny and open.
