Question
suppose there is a big towel. i hear half of the people daying 'bada towel' & half saying 'badi towel'. whats the right way to say?

Answer
Since towel is a word of foreign origin,
there is no specific guideline as to its gender.
But as a rule of thumb,
if it is a big one, it is called badaa towel [ masculine gender]
& if it is a small towel, it is called chhoti towel [ feminine gender]
