Hindus/Free Will

Question
Dear Sir,

I have a question.   Does Free Will exist after enlightenment? or if i can rephrase it to Do we need Free Will after enlightenment?

I tried answering it myself, but conclude there is no free will.  Cosmic will is merged with individual will so no individual free will exists or is required.

Please help me understand this.

Thanks much.

Answer
Hi,

Free will is part of the illusion. No on has any free will. But people think that they have free will. When they understand that they are not individuals independent of the creation, they get enlightened.

There is only one will. If we think it is free will then it means we are not yet enlightened. After enlightenment, there is no discussion.

Thanks for asking this important question.

Best wishes,

(PS: Your conclusion is perfectly correct and it is valid for everyone, not just enlightened)
