Do you feel the Sacred thread ceremony should be also applicable for girls in future ?.

I Feel this religious ceremony should be also applicable for girls.

Thanks & Regards,

Answer
Dear Prashant S. Akerkar,

Thank you for your question.

I, too, feel the Sacred thread ceremony should be offered to girls, as it was originally in Vedic times. Members of the Sri Sarada Math are given upanayana when they formally take the vow of brahmacarya even today.

Best wishes,

Brother William
