Answer
Hi,

Enlightenment is a highly personal affair. It is not possible to judge someone else whether that person is enlightened or not. So my answer below can be applied ONLY TO YOU to check whether you are enlightened or not.

1. When you get enlightened, ALL doubts and questions will disappear. You will not be asking 'Am I enlightened?'. If you do, then you are not.

2. On enlightenment only Sanchitha Karma and Agami Karma are destroyed. Prarabda karama is NOT burnt by knowledge. This means even after enlightenment, the karma WILL continue to affect the person. For example, Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa had throat cancer after enlightenment.

3. Enlightenment means END OF MENTAL SUFFERING. Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa continued to ask the devotees 'did you have lunch...please eat' which might have caused lots of pain to him. He never asked God 'why are you making me suffer like this'.

4. All worldly transactions will continue as before, even after enlightenment. However, life will be ONLY JOY and NO MENTAL SUFFERING. So if you have reached this stage, you are enlightened. Else, not.

Thanks for asking this question. Please feel free to seek clarifications if you need.

Best wishes,
