Hindus/will power

how to develop will power?
are there any practical steps for it?

Here are the practical steps to develop will power.

1. Write down in a paper what you want yourself to do. Initially start with something simple like saying OM three times AT A PREFIXED time. It does not matter what task you want to do. It is important that you write down in advance WHEN you will do that task. Keep an alarm to remind you about the task at the prefixed time.

2. Do the task as per your list.

3. Add more simple items to the list after a week of successfully practicing 1 and 2 above.

4. After a week of successful completion of the list, you may start adding slightly more difficult tasks like 'Tomorrow rise from the bed at say 5 AM' etc to the list.

5. Keep adding more difficult tasks until you are able to achieve your dreams.

IMPORTANT: When you fail you must pay a penalty. Penalty is Rs 1000 to be paid as donation for a good cause. For example you had listed 'stop reading news paper after 5 minutes' and you spent 10 minutes on the news paper, then you need to donate Rs 1000 on the same day.

Every time you miss completing your goal from the list, you need to make the donation of Rs 1000.

You will be able to increase your will power ONLY IF YOU ACTUALLY make the donation EVERYTIME you make a slip. If you do not make the donation, this exercise will not help you to increase your will power.

Thanks for asking this question. If you need any clarifications please do ask.
