What are some of the religions commonly held beliefs?

Are there any barriers to practicing these religions in the United States?

Answer
Dear Jim;

Total population: 1265 Million
% total of population 2001: Hindus - 80.5, Muslims - 13.4, Christians - 2.3, Sikhs - 1.9, Buddhists - 0.8, Jains - 0.4, Others (Jews, Zoroastrians, Bahais, Ahmadiyyas, Atheists - 0.6.

The belief vary substantially according to religion and sect, and even in the majority religion, i.e., Hinduism.

Neither United States nor India has any bars on practice of any religion. Religious freedom is a Constitutional right. With best regards,
