Question
I plan to buy earthen pot (clay pot) for storing water as well as cooking, since I believe they are good for health.  However, my father vehemently refuses for buying them as he says it is not a practice by Hindu Brahmins to buy such clay pots and bring home.  Please clarify if it is strictly prohibited for home use?

Answer
