Historical/War Reenactment - reenactment

Expert: Jack Pickup Jr. - 5/20/2009

Question
How do I join a reenactment group? I live in Eagleville P.A. close to Norristown. I am presently a social science with history concentration major and I would love to get involved somehow with a reenactment group.

Answer
The easiest way to find a reenactment group is to go to a local reenactment and talk to the people there.  If you don't know of any, try your local paper or historical society, they should have info on this sort of thing.  If you are looking for Civil War history, you shouldn't have to look far, but that doesn't mean that you might not have to travel.  Also try searching online for the "Camp Chase Gazette"  In their links section, you should be able to find reenactment units that usually have a tag as to where they are located and a contact number.  Then you just need to pick a side...!
