Unfortunately, the "expert" is wrong on one important part; each NCAA team that has mens hockey is NOT required to have womens hockey. Title 9 requires equal mens and womens VARSITY sports. Meaning, they can be different sports as long as there are 11 mens and 11 womens or more womens sports. For example Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Denver, etc do NOT have varsity womens hockey. Check out USCHO.com for all womens teams and divisions.
