Subject: incontinuity wiring of icicle lights

Question
Can you remove the fuse box and wire the icicle lights together?  Do you need a transformer?  Which end is best to start from?  Thank you kindly.

Answer
Hi.

You can not remove any fuses from the icicles, nor can you splice any wires together.

Christmas lights have very thin wire, and if a short or overload is not stopped by a fuse, it could easily catch on fire.  The fuses in your house will not protect wire that thin.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Bob
