Broth seems to have a lot of sodium as well- clam juice has very little sodium (8oz only 30 mg!)

I can answer most questions related to homestyle cooking, especially when improvisation is necessary because exact items in a recipe are not available. I have the ability to answer questions relating to most American dishes, fresh produce, fish, cheeses and desserts, with moderately high abilities with gourmet cooking, herbs and red meats. I am also a gadget guru and can give advice on kitchen tools and accessories. If I cannot answer a question, I will research and experiment until I have a satisfactory and thorough answer.

I have been actively cooking for family and friends for twenty years, and acting as full-time family chef for over ten. I have also prepared meals for a child care center, an outdoor outfitting company, and various community events. I have worked in resturants but never enjoyed the low-quality ingredients & tools available.

I have received no formal culinary education. All has been provided by experienced family members, including my grandmother, mother, and father. I compliment this with constant reading, researching, and experimenting.
