Question My question is about matching clawfoot tubs with pedestal sinks and toilets. My situation is that I have a Kohler Bankcroft pedestal sink and toilet -- they are kind of squarish and the tub they are meant to go with is a square, built-in type. I thought these could go with a small clawfoot tub, but am having serious qualms. I think I should have bought a suite -- the tub and coordinating pedestal sink and toilet from the same place. Except to do that meant to have to order it all on-line, and I was nervous about doing that (shipping, what if I don't like it, etc.). So now I have to decide whether to continue, or get out of what I have now and start over. Do people generally combine from different companies when buying a clawfoot tub? Are there any design rules about what goes with a clawfoot as opposed to a built-in? I will greatly appreciate any light you can shed on this. I have this awful feeling like I'm stumbling around in the dark on this and may, as a result, make a very expensive mistake with my bathroom remodel.
Answer Kohler and American Standard have some similarities in design. In some instances Home Depot and Lowes will carry some of the extreme designes that do compliment Clawfoot styles. I have seen a few different choices, at different Depots. They are not all the same. Take some pics of your tub to different places....to compare.
