Question Hi Bill,
When replacing thermo-glass in a wood frame can I use 100% silicone instead of window glaze?
Thank you,
Randy
Answer Hi Randy,
I suggest that you use any neutral cure silicone. Examples would be GE Silicone II or Dow Corning 1199 or Premier Product's Extra Bond 450.
The only complication is that Silicones are not paintable. You'll have to be very careful to keep the silicone off of adjacent surfaces that have to be painted.
