Home Improvement--General/tile on pressed wood

Question
Hi Craig,

I have some ceramic tiles baseboards that I'd like to place as a baseboard around the kitchen counter. The baseboard part of the counter doesn't have the formica finishing, so that part is whatever the counters usually are made of, pressed wood. What options do I have in order to "stick" the ceramic baseboard tiles to the pressed wood?

Thank you in advance,

Richard

Answer
Richard this is not advised unless your cost are going to be so minimal that you really don't care how long it last say if it is for like a cabin for the weekends. To invest the money in the tile a good substrate should be used lie a dura-rock cement board backer.

Good luck on your project, have fun doing it ...
