Home Improvement--General - anderson window screen replacement

Expert: Steve Young - 10/27/2007

Question
Hi. I was all set to replace my Anderson window screen, when i discovered that it didn't have rubber splines but had metal bars on the side of each side!? How do I proceed? Thanks.

Answer
Hi Karen,
Unfortunately I have no idea without knowing which Anderson window it is.  Go to: http://www.andersenwindows.com/  In addition to being one of the best (if not the best) window manufacturing company, Anderson has one of the best internet sites I have ever seen.  They have complete installation instructions on every product that they make.  Look up your particular window and you will be able to find what you need.
Good luck,
Steve

Hello Karen,
I am sorry you feel it necessary to give me such a low rating for this answer.  Do you realize that we are volunteers?  We do this in our spare time an attempt to help homeowners by sharing our knowledge.
Please let me know which Anderson window you have and I will try to give you more information.  If you checked the website you will have noticed that there are many different windows and without knowing which one you have I have no way to answer your question.  I will wait to hear back from you.
Have a great day,
Steve
