Question hi! i just bought a tascam 464 and whenever i hit the play button both the pause and record button light up at the same time, then the machine makes a whirring sound which dies downb after a coup0le of seconds. i think it may have something to do with the motor belt but i don't wanna open it up right now, in case it can be solved in another way. thanks
Answer Hey Mario, I'd bring it in & have it looked at by a qualified technician man. From the sounds of it, it could be any number of things causing the trouble & without actually taking it apart, it's impossible to say what's going on. Sorry I can't help any more than that, if there anything else you need, just drop me a line.
Peace - J.
