Question
QUESTION: What is the best way to connect my Boss GT6 effect processor to Cubase SL3. I have a PreSonus Firebox. I connected with instrument cables but does not sound the same as when I play threw my amp. Is there a better way. Thanks.

ANSWER: When you play through your amp, are you putting a microphone on it?

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: No, because it distrubs everybody in the house. It seems that when I plug my guitar direct to my audio interfacer I don't need as much volume and don't distrub everybody.  When I record my guitar, I run a instrument cable from my guitar to the GT6 input (1/4" jack). Then I connect 2 instument cables from the GT6 output right and left to my Presonus Firebox input 1 and 2 on the front. The firebox is connect to my computer with a firewire.

Answer
So you're saying that when you playing through your GT6 into the Firebox doesn't sound as good as just playing through your amp, right?  That's simple....an amp will ALWAYS sound better (unless it's a crappy amp).  Recording direct does have its drawbacks, in this case the GT6 does do any kind of air or speaker emulation---that's what you lose when not listening to the amp or recording to the amp.
