Question QUESTION: Hello, i'm recording multiple tracks at once and there's some slight crackling and popping that goes with it when I press play. How can I get rid of it? Or is it because i'm on a laptop? If it's the laptop reason, will buying an external HD help this problem? If so, what kind? Thanks.
ANSWER: what program / interface are you using?

QUESTION: I bought the M-AUDIO FAST TRACK ULTRA and it came with Ableton Live 6.
Answer Hi,
Unfortunately, I don't have much experience with Ableton.
With that being said, there is a good chance that an external drive can help with this issue. Also, you can try lowering the sample rate (if that option is available). This will lessen the work your processor needs to deal with.
I'd advise going to the Ableton site and see if they have a user forum, and to scan and see if other users are experiencing this issue. There may be an easy fix waiting for you there...
