Question QUESTION: Hello, I have the M-AUDIO fast track ultra. Would you happen to know anything about this product? Because I really do need help with it, I feel like I just wasted $350.
ANSWER: Not specifically. I highly suggest contacting the manufacturers website for very specific gear questions.

QUESTION: Alright, I kinda got it down. Would you know how to connect a mixer to inputs on interfaces? Also, S/PDIF's?
ANSWER: Yes, I can help you with that. What make/model of mixer are you using? What do you need to know about spdif?

QUESTION: I'm planning on just buying a cheap $79 Behringer, and it also says I can add two more channels by using the S/PDIF's, so how do I connect a mixer to that as well? Thanks for your help.
Answer To utilize SPDIF input, you'd need a mixer with a SPDIF output. SPDIF is a 2 channel digital interface, you can't just run any audio line to it. I don't think the Behringer has that as an option. Most cheap analog mixers will not have a SPDIF output.
As far as connecting it to a mixer, any line output (sub out, send, main out) can be connected to any of the line inputs on the unit. Basically, the "Golden Rule" is that OUTPUTS FEED INPUTS. The routing is wholly dependent on what you are trying to accomplish.
