Question Hi,
I recently purchase a Philip DVD player with home theater system and very lost in putting it together with rest of my electronics.
So here is what I have:
Samsung HDTV with 4 HDMI
Comcast HDTV receiver (No HDMI)
Wii
Philip DVD player with home theater system HTS3565D (1 HDMI)
TIVO (regular, not HD)
Only thing that is working right now is the DVD as it is connect to the home theater system. I would like to use the home theater system for sound to the tivo, comcast HDTV Receiver, and the DVD player. Record regular TV shows through Comcast using Tivo as it is not a hd TIVO. I think Wii station needs to be connected separately.
I have two HDMI cables, 2 sets of the video & audio cables (white, red and yellow) and one bigger cable provided by Comcast (green, 2 red, white, yellow and blue or black).
Please help! I am electronic challenged and feeling hopeless.
Answer Hello Stefanie,
HDMI out of Philips goes to TV.
1 Then connect your Cable receiver's audio out to Philips TV audio in. Please use appropriate cables. These can be optical, digital co-axial or RCA (red and white).
Then connect the video out of Comcast receiver's Video to TV.
1 Then connect your Tivo's audio out to Philips Aux audio in. Please use appropriate cables. These can be optical, digital co-axial or RCA (red and white).
Then connect the video out of TIVO to TV.
