Home Theater - HD Tuners

Expert: Bobbert - 10/12/2009

Question
I have a Mitsubishi WS-55517 55 inch television. I have cable but do not have a cable box. What do I need to get the HD channels?

Answer
You will need a cable box from your service provider to view HD content from your cable provider, I would suggest contacting them regarding this feature.

If your television has an ATSC tuner (may be marketed/labeled as a "Digital Tuner"), it will be able to receive over the air (OTA) digital channels, with an appropriate antenna connected, if this is more inline with what you're meaning, although you'll likely need to switch connections between the antenna and the RF jack at the wall to change between cable and OTA channels.
