Home Theater - Hdmi cable and hdtv help?

Expert: Bobbert - 10/28/2009

Question
im getting an hdtv soon and im going to have 3 hd components (blu-ray player, cable box, and ipod dock) and was wondering instead of buying 3 hdmi cables, can i just buy one and repurpose to the hd component that im currently using?

Answer
I believe I've fielded this question before, honestly I'm not understanding what the need here is, HDMI cables are relatively inexpensive (check Monoprice or Newegg if you're not seeing this), and unless the TV is missing enough inputs, I really see no reason to bother with switches or constantly plugging or unplugging HDMI cables (especially as this will wear on the connectors eventually).
