Home Theater - Hooking up my ht to my hdtv

Expert: M A Khan - 10/18/2009

Question
I have a samsung hdtv,a samsung Home Theater- HTx50 with 1 HDMI hookup and a Digital Cable Box from Comcast.Would you please tell me the best way to hook up my system. I would rather not hook anything to my cable box. Also, how can i hook up to hear the tv through my surround system at all times

Answer
Hello Sam,
Please connect HDMI OUT of your HT system to your TV HDMI IN. This gives you HD picture from DVD.
Then connect audio out of your cable box using either the Optical, Digital Coaxial or RCA(red, white and yellow) cable to HT's TV audio in.

Thanks
