QUESTION: I have a have a Scientific Atlanta Explorer (Comcast) cable box, and a Samsung LED 7100 (55") I am using a HDMI / DVI cable to connect cable box and tv. Video is fine. I am using a rca to 3.5mm mini cord audio out (cable box) to audio in (tv) No audio. Help.

Which part of 3.5 mini is connected to TV or are you saying that both ends are 3.5 mini.
If this is the case, 3.5 mini on TV is an audio in and not audio out.

What you need is an audio out and please check the cable box mini to make sure it is an audio out. Best way to test will be connecting headphones to the cable box 3.5 mini.
If it is an out, you should have sound. It is a straight forward connection.
Also check on screen TV menu to see if your TV mini 3.5 is turned on.
