Home Theater - Trouble shooting - Blu Ray and Home Theatre

Expert: Bobbert - 11/5/2009

Question
Hi there,

Trouble shooting - connected blu ray, home theatre system to Samsumg HDTV. Speakers are not working. Checked all connections. Connected Audio cable TV in and Blu Ray out. Still no speaker sound from home theatre system.

Do I need an HDMI cable to work?

Answer
Do you get sound from Blu-ray/DVD playback?

You'll need to connect an HDMI cable from the home theatre unit to the TV (for video from Blu-ray/DVD to reach the TV), and an audio signal from the TV to the receiver (for audio from broadcast TV to reach the speakers).
