Home Theater/Cables to connect Samsung HT-Q100 to various components
Expert: M A Khan - 5/23/2009
QuestionHello,
I am trying to find the best connection/cable solution for the following equipment. Would also like the Home Theater to be used for surround sound via the Dish DVR. I want to use the Blu-ray player for movies and the HT-Q100 for music (since it's not a Blu-ray player). Could you pls advise what cables I need to purchase and the best way to connect. Thank you.

AnswerHello Karl,
Please look at the specs for your Sansung HT-Q100
You have only on optical input and 1 HDMI out.
HDMI out should be connected to your TV HDMI "IN".
You should connect your Blue Ray optical out to your HT and HDMI to TV HDMI "IN".
You can connect your DVR audio out using RCA red and white cables to your HT audio line in.
That's the best I can suggest.
Thanks
