Question I have a Sony 5.1 HTS. MY problem is with my receiver. When I turn it on, the center speaker works, then in about 5 minutes it will just shut itself off. There would be no more sound coming from that center speaker.
Thanks.
Answer Hi Al,
Lots of times this problem is caused by a bad stereo cable. If one channel drops out, it will kill the surround center right away. I would check all the cables to your unit and make sure they are pushed in and tight.
If everything seems OK, you might want to try another stereo cable from the source that is dropping out and see if that fixes it.
If you can find nothing else wrong, it is possibly the amp.
