Honda Repair/03 Accord - Burning Plastic Smell

Question
Hi James.  Thanks for taking the time to help.  I have a 2003 Accord w/ 14k miles on it.  Just in the last week there started being a fairly strong smell of burning plastic inside the car.  It's not constant, but rather off and on, but I smell it everytime I drive it at least a couple of times.  I looked under the hood, didn't see anything, didn't really smell anything.  I smelled down near the brakes and it seemed to be coming from that area.  Any ideas on what could be causing the smell, or have you heard of anyone having the same problem?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Daren

Answer
Well I have not run into that problem. I am just thinking that you might have something rapped up near the rotor. I have a 2001 honda accord. I have 55000 on mine. It could be a bag on the catist converter under the car. it will melt when the car gets to a certian temp. Good luck
