Subject: Gear Shifter light does not always come on.

Question
I have a 2003 Honda Civic LX and the light on my gear shifter comes on sporatically. I am concerned if this is the result of a fuse that needs to changed or a wiring problem. Thanks

Answer
Fuses either work or don't work. I have uet to see a fuse that work intermittently.
There may be a problem with the shift position switch or the related wiring in that circuit that is causing that.
Shift position sw. is located under the shifter assembly to the left of it.
