I just had my front brake pads changed and rotors resurfaced at Firestone on my 2001 Honda Accord. I also started noticing this smell near the brakes. I'll ask Firestone when they open on Monday.

I have had the same problem with my 2005 Accord diesel for 8 months now. Firstly they changed the exhaust manifold then they looked at a brake fault then they looked at a problem with the A/AC. After puting a bomb through the A/AC this did help but only for a couple of days. Honda technical say this is the first report of anything of this nature to be reported to them???? I have no faith in Honda now
