Question
there is steam coming out of the vents.  Now when I turn on the vents it smells like smoke.  what to do?  what is it?

Answer
Hey Laura,
It sounds to be like your blower motor ceased up. I had this happen to me a few years ago in my Acura. I was just sitting in line at the bank with the A/C on then all of a sudden smoke started coming from the vents and it actually melted my blower. Just make sure you dont turn your A/C or fan on until you get the problem fixed.

Jeff
