Question Hello,
My husband and I will be moving to Roatan from the U.S.A. at the end of next summer(2010). We are planning to sell just about everything, but I'm not sure about being able to buy nice appliances, furniture, bedding and cars in Honduras. Will we be able to find nice bedding, comfortable furniture, and a diesel car at reasonable prices in Honduras and get it sent to Roatan? Any advice you can give me would be appreciated and help make packing for this move easier.

As far as I know you can buy everything in the mainland and send it to Roatan by boat. La Ceiba is the closest and San Pedro Sula is a couple of hours away but we have EVERYTHING here in San Pedro. My answer is based on what I know about San Pedro which is where I live, I'm not sure of what they have in La Ceiba or Roatan.
In Honduras you can find the same stuff that you can find in the USA although things are going to be a little pricier. The car you can probably buy new or used from a car dealer or there are hundreds of used car lots for you to choose.
