Hi JRA:

It was great to find you on this site.  My husband and I are looking to buy an area that would accommodate a small beach nature resort/centre.  Which areas would you recommend that we look into and do you have any helpful websites for us?  

Any information that you can send our way would be appreciated, as we are in the preliminary stages of searching for the ideal spot.

Hi,

The Bay Islands are the best place for a beach resort, there are properties for sale in Utila and Roatan.  Another option would be the beaches near Tela which are currently being developed by resorts.  Another option would be the beaches after Puerto Cortes along the highway that leads to Guatemala.  There is a lot of available land and the prices are a lot cheaper than Tela or the Bay Islands.

I don't know of any websites but you can always try Honduras.com or Hondurastips.com.
