Question
Hi,My name is Katie! So, I hear that your an expert on Honduras. Well, in August I'm leaving America and traveling to Honduras to stay for four months where i will be attending a high school and staying with a host family. Do you have any advice for me?
I have a few specific question:
-If i bring a digital camera, will i be able to upload pictures in the internet cafes, and also do you think it will be robbed?
-What kind of bathingsuits are worn?
-What kind of clothes should i wear that arn't considered provocative for a teenage girl?
-Do you know where a cargill facility is located?(production of soy beans)

IM NOT SURE IF YOU CAN ANSWER ANY OF THESE QUESTIONS BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU COULD!! THANKS SO MUCH!

Answer
Hi Katie,

First of all, yes I can understand all of your questions! :-)

It would help to know the city where you're going to be staying at since local customs are different in different parts of the country.
If you're going to live near or in San Pedro Sula you're in luck.  San Pedro is pretty much like a regular US city: malls, fast food places, night life; also, you have a beach only 40 minutes away.

I'm not sure about the location of the cargill facility.

I guess you could upload pictures at an Internet cafe but the family where you're staying may also have a computer and an Internet connection.   Your camera will be safe as long as you don't walk around showing it off in a bad part of town.

As for clothes and bathing suits, just wear the same stuff that you wear at home.

Good luck, if you have any more questions just ask!
