QuestionHi there,
Well I'm 20 yrs. old and it makes me happy to find a person who has lived in honduras b/c I was born in San Pedro Sula, honduras,BUT I don't remember how it looks or anything b/c I came to the U.S. when I was 5 yrs. old.I heard it was BAD now w/crimes and a lot of gangs. But I heard it was a nice place to visit etc. I want to know if Las Islas de la Bahia is a good place to live or not? I heard it was a NICE place.I would also like to know if you have a degree from here in the U.S., how would you get paid in Honduras? I want to be a pre-school teacher and going towards my 2 yr.Associates degree.Well thanks Alot!
AnswerThere are three islands, Roatan, Utila and Guanaja. Roatan is the biggest with probably the most job opportunities of the three islands. I guess that living in the Bay Islands would be a great place to live in if you liked living next to the beach in a more laid back environment. It helps if you know how to scuba dive. If I had a choice I'd probably live there.
I don't know about salaries for teachers but I'm sure that if you have a degree you will have no trouble finding work in the Islands or in mainland Honduras.
Good luck!
