Question We are trying to plan a honeymoon for October 19-26,2008 and would like to go somewhere warm in the US. We are looking for the following: Somewhere that at least some meals are included, relaxation, must be nice and warm, would like to do horse back riding, love mountain scenery and waterfalls.
I really need help in finding something.
Answer Humm..that is a tough one. There really are no resorts in the US that include meals, other than spa and dude ranch type facilities. The best you can find is a hotel that offers a breakfast of some kind.
Staying in the Continental US, and somewhere warm in October, you are going to need to think Southern Florida and the Florida Keys, but you won't get the mountains and waterfalls there. Mountain locations will already be getting cool. The best known area for honeymoons and mountains is the Poconos, and they do have some meals included, but don't expect warmth.
Is there any reason why you don't want to leave the US? Have you considered Hawaii? It will be warm there in October, and you can enjoy mountain scenery and waterfalls, PLUS amazing beaches!
