Question
Hello, my fiance and I are starting to consider taking our honeymoon in florida but are not sure where to go yet. She recently just bought 2 new bikinis for the trip, one of them a thong bikini, and the other a "brazilian bottom" bikini (which is so skimpy it almost IS a thong). I have no problem with her wearing this type of clothing in public, especially if it is just on the beach. However, she seems to think that this type of swimwear is permitted on all of the beaches in florida. We are from New York state, and wearing something like that around here could get you into trouble. The question I have is, Are women allowed to wear thong (and/or other skimpy) bathing suits on the beaches (or other public areas) in florida state-wide? or are there only certain beaches on which this type of attire is permitted? We dont want to go to a beach where she will get into trouble for showing off her best asset. thanks.

Answer
You can pretty much wear anything you want, when it comes to a swimsuit.  However, some private beaches do have the right to ask you to cover up if they receive complaints.  Remember, not just Americans come to our beautiful beaches, there are many Europeans that visit us and that is the kind of swimsuit that is traditionally worn over there.

You are less likely to feel stared at if you visit a beach that is typically populated by the beautiful, such as South Beach.

Go to Florida and have a wonderful honeymoon!

Pam
