Question I am trying to find the perfect place to honeymoon in October of 2009. Approximate dates are 19-28th. Currently we are interested in Couples Negril in St. Lucia as well as the Excellence in Riviera Maya. Both of these locations are known to be rainy the month of October. We really want to go to Couples Negril however. Do you have any recommendations for me? We are not interested in Hawaii due to price and St. Lucia seems slightly expensive as well. All thoughts are welcomed.

It really depends on budget and your departure city. In October, the primary concern is hurricanes rather than rain itself. You will have possibility for hurricanes in the Caribbean and in Mexico.
To avoid hurricanes/rain for that time of year, I would recommend Hawaii or Tahiti. Of course, this might be over budget. Within the Caribbean, to reduce your chance of hurricanes/rain you might want to consider Aruba, but again might be over budget.
Couples Negril is in Jamaica, and not in St. Lucia.
