Question Hi! I am really infatuated with the whole idea of a destination wedding but I'm feeling very overwhelmed in deciding what resort to go to!!!
We'd prefer an all inclusive resort with a $9,500 budget and I already have a dress PLUS most of the guests will be paying for themselves. (8-10 adult guests)
I have heard people say the best way to do a destination wedding is to go to the local courthouse and do a "spiritual wedding" @ the resort- what are your opinions on this?
Anyway, as far as the resort goes we are looking for something authentic and private, we don't want to stay in a typical "hotel" type room. If there were any sort of adventure type activities this would be FANTASTIC, and of course we love food and drinks so bars and restaurants are also important. I don't mean to be so picky, but there seems to be so many places to go and so many different options.
I'm really into Rastafari so i think it would be great to get married in Jamaica and I would love to go on a tour of anything and everything Marley. I don't think my fiance is too concerned with any of that though so it won't break my heart if the perfect resort isn't in Jamaica.
AH~ sorry this is so overwhelming, as you can see I'm in a little over my head with all of this!
thanks so much!
Answer First Samantha, take a deep breath and relax :-) You have found the right person to help you with your wedding plans!
I have been to Jamaica numerous times and can help you find the right resort to meet your wedding desires. In fact, I just got back about from last trip there two weeks ago.
If you get married in Jamaica it is very easy to make it a legal ceremony, however if you get married in Mexico I typically recommend just doing the symbolic ceremony there and getting legally married at your local courthouse as there as just to many requirements for a legal wedding in Mexico. No one but you and your fiance need ever know any different as the ceremonies are done exactly the same, except one is legal and one isn't.
There are to many options and decisions to be made via this website. I would like you to please email me direct with your wedding dates and where you are flying from so I can get you some resort prices and options.
