Honeymoons - Wedding in US

Question
Hi. We've booked our holiday in US and plan to get married in Vegas once we're there.  We've not booked a chapel or anything, but hope to just show up and do it!  No fuss no nothing! Can you confirm for me that as UK citizens, we should be OK to do that if we just take along our passports?  Fiance doesn't have divorce papers, does he need them?  Grateful for some clarification as some website not 100% clear.

Answer
Hello, I don't believe it would be hard to get married while you are there and not actually plan something.  There are little chapels everywhere.  As far as the necessary paperwork, you will need to contact your consulate to find out what is necessary.  I do not specialize in that area as I am not from the UK.
